Sickle cell anaemia is a debilitating disease having a significant deteriorating effect on quality of life of the victim. It is very common in some tribes of Gujarat state,India. Most of these tribes are the native of inland. Being a genetic disorder it can’t be cured but Ayurved can help in improving the quality of life of the sufferes. The study was initiated with the above purpose. Students of a school, especially opened for tribal children were approached . A total of 41 students were included in the study and given a combination of Ayurved drugs keeping Ayurvedic guidelines in mind. The duration of treatmand was 6 months.
